I don't particularly like blogs, however much of a narcissist I am. I always forget to update them, and when I do I have the odd urge to turn each and every post into some sort of complex essay with a hidden theme. It is utter torture.

This forum might be the perfect place for me to start a blog though, as I need not worry about my terrible grammar (I jest--of course my grammar is perfect) or being laughed out of town for regurgitating my thoughts one too many times. For the most part, it does not interest people to hear about my life.

Today, I went to Wal-Mart. I purchased a pair of khakis. I also went to see a hand specialist, and I am happy to say that there is nothing wrong with my hand (I injured it a while back in karate, and I was afraid that I had damaged a joint permanently). Also I got a haircut.

Tomorrow, I am going to give blood. I'm pretty excited because this is the first time I have ever given blood (I've never been old enough), and I'll be helping a classmate of mine who has jaw cancer. Furthermore, I will finally know whether I am O- or O+. However cool it would be to have O- blood (it's rarer), I sincerely hope that I have O+ blood for the singular selfish reason that I would be less likely to die from loss of blood because they can't find a suitable donor if I were in an accident.

And in about two weeks I am going to go to the BPA (Business Professionals of America) state conference in Dallas. I'll be competing in the "Entrepreneurship" category with one of my companies. I hope I win because then I'll be able to go to Reno for Nationals. I'm also pretty excited because, well, I met this girl at Regionals--she took first in the "Entrepreneurship" category, and I took second, so we were the only two to qualify for State for our category--and she'll be there. She is quite attractive, I must say...and it should be interesting, since I fully intend to beat her this time.

I'll be updating probably once a week, if you find my life interesting enough to read about. I'll let you know my blood type next week, and hopefully if this site works on Mozilla Firefox I'll be able to update more. ;)

It seems that the BPA runs Enterpreneurship selection and sponsors those selected. I'm interested to know if you have run serveral companies as you mentioned "one of my companies". I hope your Chinese learning in Xiamen has contributed to your company operation.

123go: Thanks for the warm welcome back. I think I have O-, too. We shall have to see. BPA does indeed run the competition, and therefore the categories. The girl is...her name is Anne, and she is a most fascinating character. Yes, I currently own three companies--I describe them briefly in the "Jake is back?" thread. If you would like more information about any of them, just let me know, and I'll provide it.

Good luck with the visa! If you wait until a Democrat is in office (which will inevitably happen), the borders might be less secure, and you'll be able to get one more quickly. If you manage to get to the states, go down to the public library--they have free internet access--and leave me a message on this forum. I'll try to help you out with some legal stuff, like a green card if you plan on staying, and if you want to apply to be a citizen, I can quiz you for the test you have to take on American history and government. I am exceptionally good at American history.

I am very glad to hear that you know me, and i hope to know wether you are really a 18 years old boy and  where are you living now, maybe i can meet you if you visit Boston where i am living now.

Well, I'll be 18 on March 19th (counting down the days), so I'm not 18 yet. I live in Houston, TX (see the last post for a map), and I'm afraid I cannot really visit Boston at the moment...it's rather far from where I am. Perhaps if you lived in Dallas or Austin.

However, I am glad to hear that you are in the states now. How do you like Boston? Two very well known universities, MIT and Harvard, are very closer to where to live...I know someone at both universities. A friend of mine, Elizabeth Tsai--her parents are from Taiwan--and the valedictorian of last year's class is at Harvard. Her name is Allison Swidriski.

i am not much like the place-Lincoin city where i live, because there is no bus here so i must stay at home all the time except weekends my son may drive us out.  the only way i can spend time is online.
